Yoga Nidra
Manifesting Your Deepest Heart’s Desire

First Monday of each Month

starting Feb 1, from 5:30 – 6:45 pm EST

Yoga Nidra is not simply a relaxation technique… It is incredibly powerful! Ancient Yogis have used it for millennia to cure dis-ease, improve creativity, enhance personality in a positive way, and enable realization of our deepest heart’s desire.

Indulge in a deeply restorative hour of self care and rejuvenation, renewing and refreshing your spirit this New Year!

Join us to Manifest your Deepest Heart’s Desires via a magical journey into the fertile layers of the subconscious mind. Using ancient yogic techniques learned in India, Jayashrii (Juliane) will guide us through a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra experience (equivalent to 5-6 hours sleep) as we plant the seeds of our deepest heart’s desire into our incredibly powerful subconscious mind. Be forewarned, the resolve you make is bound to come true! While a single session is powerful, the cumulative affects of regular Yoga Nidra are truly extraordinary.

How to Sign Up? Simple!
  1. Submit payment via paypal link StyleNectar@gmail (mailing check also ok).
  2. I will respond with an email link to Yoga Nidra.

Namaskaram Dear Friends. Today I thought I’d share this incredibly powerful Karmic Food Pyramid. The standard diet most have been conditioned to consume has nothing to do with what is portrayed here. I’ve personally found over the years most of what we’ve been programmed to believe is absolutely backwards. Unplug TV, Netflix and radio. Question everything. Do your own research. Our food is our medicine and our medicine is our food. Don’t follow trends. Feel free to ask me questions. But don’t believe what I say either. Wisdom is beyond knowledge for knowledge is manmade. Love is beyond wisdom. As we experience higher frequency we  make choices from experience. We know when we’ve accessed wisdom as it resonates deep within.

Sending joy and blessings always!

In love and light 💕

Projection is a critical element to understand in awareness practice. All perception is 100% projection as everything is seen through the filter of our conditioning. In this same way, everyone is a mirror of ourselves, revealing our own blindspots. Therefore, we continually bring everything back to ourselves as we realize nothing is external – the world is in us. We are not in the world! This gives further clarification to the idea that that which is perceived by the 5 senses as the world of form is ephemeral – illusion. Additionally, it provides further understanding into the realization that the “content” (world of form) of our lives (thoughts, body, emotions, relationships, careers, homes, appearances, possessions, social status, age, sex, race, awards, vacations, thoughts etc) does not hold that which is only available “within” (aka via the formless, realization of higher Self).

Would it make sense to build a house upon a slippery, faulty foundation of sand? No, it would collapse and cause a slew of additional issues. Instead we choose a solid, trustworthy foundation. (In this case the formless, infinite higher Self.) Projection can be likened to re-arranging the particles of sand believing we might somehow make strengthen the foundation. Nope. Sand will never be stable. Likewise, if we mistake shifting the external content of our lives as the key to our wellbeing we will suffer the consequences of samsara, continually re-arranging the content of life in a futile attempt to find what is only (and always) available in what Jesus referred to as the Kingdom of God within. Ultimately there is no within and without – there is transcendence of ego, aka duality, to the nondual realm of the formless, infinite Higher Self.

We cannot find Presence – or healing, peace or anything else for that matter, externally.

Similarly, engaging in past/future conversations (all thought is past/future) in the head to the theme of “something is wrong” is a guarantee for suffering. We must not be fooled into the misconception that our wellbeing is dependent upon figuring something out in the head. That’s ego's #1 technique to engage/re-engage us. No  matter what we NEVER want to engage the stories in the head, try to solve them etc. – we always LET THEM GO! No matter how “sticky” the content. All we need to know will drop in via Presence and Presence only – no conversation in the head necessary. Period.

If we find we've gone unconscious, entangled in a conversation in the head (aka thinking)… that’s ok too! Eventually we wake up and realize we’ve been lost in a story. Poof, we let it go. It is called practice for a reason. We remember that thinking is always in the past and future – the definition for suffering – it is only in the NOW that find Presence. Liberation. All that we need to know will drop in from Life/God/Divinity/Soure without our needing to "think" about it. It's the same magic that pumps our heart, that digests our food, that operates the thousands of tasks going on in our body in every single second WITHOUT our thinking about any of it!

Side note: While the mind is a horrible master it is an excellent tool. So we may use it to schedule our day, remember to pay our bills, etc.. We just don’t want it running our lives unconsciously in the background.

Those on the path to Awakening/Self Realization have recognized the suffering of living unconsciously. The choice is made, therefore, to live Consciously.  Thus we see anything and everything as an opportunity, a gift, to wake up and end suffering. No longer do we live in Fear for what may come our way. Life is a gift. NO. Matter. What. We are 100% adequate to our life experience. Our first few tastes of freedom illustrate how all questions drop away, all "problems" disappear… how nothing is personal when we’re awake. And we know Ego is our most formidable opponent, it is relentless – albeit completely lacking in any creativity or life force. Therefore, we’re starting with the upper hand! If we keep at it, as the power of the life force that we are, we quickly catch on to it’s tune. We use each and every trigger as an alarm bell to step out of the “Conversation”, RELAX and RELEASE, thereby bringing our samskaras into the healing light of conscious awareness.

Each time we take this opportunity to step out of the conversation in the head, into the conscious awareness we are, we reinforce alignment with our Higher Self. Thus, our energy ceases to be siphoned off by ego! Meditation, yogasana and sattvic diet are a crucial part of the process, bringing all  aspects of the self into the highest vibration, into alignment with source. It is the most beautiful, magical experience there is… to no longer be separate from that which we are.
Love.

And now for one of my fall/winter favorites to help you drift off to a beautiful sleep…

Recipe for Warming Spiced Ayurvedic Sleepytime Mylk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of almond, coconut or your fav non-dairy mylk
  • pinch of cardamom
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of ginger
  • pinch of turmeric
  • pinch of black pepper
  • raw honey

Method

  1. Pour your favorite mylk into a small pot.
  2. Add spices to taste and whisk to combine. Start with less and experiment with more later.  I actually use 1/2 tsp of each spice which makes my mylk bright yellow and I LOVE it! However, a pinch is all you need.
  3. Bring mylk to baby bottle temperature to keep it raw. If you don't care about it staying raw, bring it to a light steam.
  4. Add a raw honey to taste & give mylk another whisking.
  5. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy heavenly sleepytime yummminess! Sweet Dreams 🙂

Lemon Drop Coconut Snowballs are delish little bites of bliss! Enjoy for snack, holiday party dessert, or pre/post workout boost.  I served them at my recent Manifesting Your Deepest Heart’s Desire Yoga Workshop…  always a hit. Without further ado let’s get to the recipe…

Fullsizeoutput_1c71

Lemon Drop Coconut Snowballs (makes approximately 24 snowballs)

  • 2 cups raw Cashews
  • 2 cups unsweetened flaked coconut separated into 1 1/2 c & 1/2 c)
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 rounded Tbsp (or to taste) raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla powder or extract
  • 2-3 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp lemon zest

Place cashews, 1 1/2 cups coconut, lemon juice, honey, coconut oil and vanilla in food processor and pulse until mixture is sticky when pressed together (for a little more texture) or until a sticky mound forms (for a smoother texture). Remove and form into small balls. Combine the leftover 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut and 3 tbsp lemon zest by fluffing with a fork. Roll balls in mixture to coat. Place balls in freezer or fridge to set. Serve directly out of freezer or fridge for more bite, or allow to soften at room temperature for a moist, chewy texture. Store leftovers in fridge/freezer in tightly closed container. Please note: measurements are fairly flexible so feel free to play around according to your taste/texture preferences. Enjoy!

S I L E N C E

"Silence has three gates to pass.
One is the most peripheral: speaking.
Speak only telegraphically.
Speak the essential and you will be surprised that
almost ninety per cent of your talking is useless;
only ten per cent will do.
And you will also be surprised —
that ten per cent will become more effective
because that ninety per cent,
that unnecessary burden
is no more there.

Words become more pregnant
when you don't go round-about,
when you go directly.
And if one has to be telegraphic
one has to go directly.
That's why you can write a long letter
but it doesn't have that effect —
a small telegram is more effective […]

All the great scriptures of the world are telegraphic.
That is the meaning of the sanskrit word sutra —
just a hint has been given but very pregnant.
This is the first step:
be telegraphic, speak the essential.
And drop the non-essential
and then the second step.
Think only the essential
and you will be surprised.
Ninety-nine per cent is unessential;
only one percent maybe is essential.
That too I say maybe, perhaps;
otherwise it is all holy cow dung.

So drop thinking unnecessarily
about unnecessary things […]

So drop useless thinking
and you will be saving so much energy
that the third step can be taken.
the third step is the most subtle:
feel only the essential.
And if you come to the essential
then there is only love.
Anger, greed, lust —
all these things are non-essential.
They are parasites, they are exploiting you.
When you come to the essential only love remains.
And when your heart is only full of love
you can enter into the very centre of silence.

These three things have to be passed:
the outer part of the mind — talking;
the inner part of the mind — thinking;
and the innermost part of the mind — feeling.
And when you have passed all these three
then there is silence.
And that silence is the door to the divine."

— OSHO, The Sound of One Hand Clapping, Chapter #19 – 19 March 1981 pm
